Cancer of cervis, if detected early, is completely curable. So it is our duty to keep a high degree of suspicion and detect the cases while they are still localized and curable. For this remember the following rules: Every case of posrt menopausal leucorrhoea or bleeding must be referred to a Gyneacologist. Do not treat old ladies with white discharge or bleeding, symptomatically. Every case of cervical erosion, which bleeds on touch or does nor heal after cauterization should be subjected to biopsy. Bleeding after inetecourse is very suggestive of malignancy. Ideally, every woman above forty should undergo papsmear once a year. |
